House hopping in Denver

On average, Americans own their homes for less than 8 years. In Denver Metro, the average is only 6.63 years, the 5th shortest average in the country. This is attributed to our better than average appreciation and mild winters. People in Denver tend to move around. They have the option to do so thanks to rising values. Also, people who can handle a little winter want to live here, which makes it easier for homeowners to sell. These factors make for great real estate investing too!

Rentals vs. Stocks

If the only investing you have ever done was through your company’s 401k plan you may not fully appreciate the differences between stock market investing and real estate investing. Here is a great article that breaks it down. Besides being a tangible asset that you exercise control over, there are benefits to rental investing like inflation control and consistent demand. You also make money through cash flow AND appreciation, rather than just growth. All investing comes with some risk, so do your research before jumping into anything. We are here to help!
