Is It Where You’re Going or Where You’ve Been?

Where are you in your business or even in life? How do you tell? Are you keeping focused on the road ahead?  Maybe you’re too focused on what’s behind. Are you emphasizing the good and adjusting for the bad? Do you have a healthy dichotomy? Have you learned from your mistakes? Do you know what those are or how to find them out? Failure is the road to learning. Wise men will use it and fools will ignore it.  What are your triumphs? Can you replicate them? How? Lessons learned are vital to adjusting the steering wheel, fine-tuning speed, and shifting gears. Why would you want to hit the same bump twice? Maybe it’s time for a sit down…

HUD STEALS for you investors who are looking for out-of-state deals (this is just a sample of potential bargains available; click on link for more information; all at investor status; “IE” means FHA-lender repairs are under $5K, “IN” means OK for FHA loan as is);these HUDs may “go” quickly):

Here’s an article articulating sensible style for your ready rehab. These are styles to carefully contemplate for when you are looking to sell your home – what works best to prepare your place?

Can you believe it? Thirty year rates are up to 3.69%! (They have since come up to 3.74%) I don’t remember the last time they were this high… It seems like we may be in an uptick of rates. How high will they go? Will raised rates force some people into the market and create a spike in demand? Maybe that will help to stabilize prices? I guess we’ll find out. I can’t say I’ll hold my breath though.

I’m not there yet (retirement that is), but knowing that the baby boomers are out there. Here are some reasons to people stay where they are when they retire:

  • Home is where the heart is.
  • Home is where your friends are.
  • People retire in the last place they land.
  • You don’t necessarily save much money.
  • It doesn’t have to cost a lot to age-proof your home.
  • Visit a virtual village.

The latest Mortgage Rates: 30 Year fixed at 3.74% and 5/1 ARMS at 2.92%! Expect investor (non-owner occ) rates to run about ½ point higher on non-owner occ loans. (These are AOL/ reported average rates as of Thursday)
