Happy New Year! My name is Tim Emery and Justin Walker and I are honored and excited to be the new owners of John Fisher’s Invest Success. 2015 was quite a year – John’s business was growing and he was on his way to his best year ever. John’s cancer diagnosis was a big shock to all of us. What was amazing was the support John received from the community. It was huge! The outpouring of love and support during his illness was a wonderful reflection of the compassion and caring of our investment community.
While John was sick, Justin Walker took over the day to day duties of Invest Success and continued hosting The John Fisher Breakfast Club. Justin carried on the honesty and integrity that John had instilled in the company. I approached Lauren about the possibility of a partnership several months ago and after many discussions about values, vision and possibilities, Invest Success will continue to succeed and grow! With the support of John’s wife, Lauren, the future of Invest Success has taken on a new life.
Invest Success will continue to focus on bringing value to the Real Estate world through education and community. We will build on the classroom education and further the value of the mentorship program and beyond. Through these things and maintaining the values and standards established by John, we will continue the legacy of providing high value with high integrity.
I feel honored and privileged to be joining this great team!
A short synopsis of me; I grew up in the greater Denver area, attended the University of Kansas and spent 10 years in the Vail Valley teaching skiing and guiding fly fishing. In 2004, I moved back to Denver to get my Real Estate License and work with Stix and Stones Fine Colorado Properties as an agent. Over the last 11 years, I’ve been involved in numerous fix and flips. I know what to look for, how to interact with contractors, and how to be creative to make the most money possible from these projects.
In 2010, I started a Property Management Division within Stix and Stones. Over the last 5 years we have grown to 180+ properties. We created and developed a team and systems that enabled us to grow. I will be transitioning out of that business and focusing on Invest Success in the coming months and am looking forward to what 2016 and beyond holds.

The latest Mortgage Rates: 30 Year fixed at 3.72% and 5/1 ARMS at 2.87%! Expect investor (non-owner occ) rates to run about ½ point higher on non-owner occ loans. (These are AOL/Zillow.com reported average rates as of Thursday)

The New Year means it is time for the market to “pick up” again. Not that it needed too much pick up, but as we come upon tax returns, the anticipation of the end of the school year and the weather warming up again, usually the market heats right up with it. I expect the same thing as we approach February-March.
