While we cannot foresee every twist and turn in this journey called life, setting a few goals for one short year can help to make sure we stay pointed in the right direction.
As we close out 2016, Vince and I realize that the year ended very differently than we had expected. At the beginning of each year, we like to set goals and plan major events. This helps us to stay focused on our core values and long-term vision for our family. Like every year, we encountered a few forks in the road. Except this year, we encountered two MAJOR forks in the road that we had to really analyze. Fortunately, these forks were opportunities that we were ready for and could be excited about.
This new year, I hope you will think about your own life’s vision and your core values. Set a few goals (or resolutions) to help you get there. It’s not about accomplishing every goal to a T; it’s a matter of getting into motion and staying on a particular path that leads to a desired destination.
To help you get started off right, here is a New Year’s Goal Template
to remember the passing year and brainstorm for the year ahead:
Happy New Year!
For your reading pleasure
We started flipping houses in 2010, so we don’t remember the heyday of the 2000’s when big banks would fund flips directly. We know that this all came to a screeching halt when bank money dried up in 2007 (and a lot of flippers lost their shirts). Well, the big banks are lending again, but not to flippers directly – instead through a middle man.
This is good news to those of us who are already in the game. The banks will always follow the money, which means this is a good time to be flipping. Just make sure you do it wisely 😉
See you soon,
