Denver has 4th highest gains in the nation
According to the S&P Case-Schiller National Home Price Index, Denver is tied for 4th highest gains in 2017 at 7.6%, along with Detroit and Los Angeles. This three way tie is funny considering L.A. prices are much higher than Denver, and Detroit prices are much lower. I thought I’d play with the math a little… Looking at median home prices, L.A. is at $605k, Denver $360k and Detroit $145k. The increase of 7.6% based on median prices amounts to about $43k in L.A., $25k in Denver and $10k in Detroit. You decide which market suits you best.
Love letters and then some
No doubt we are in a sellers market, especially in the starter home category, where sellers get over-asking price and trip to Paris! How about Broncos season tickets for a year? What might win YOU over? Maybe a buyer who is willing to just take care of the squirrel you adore watching in your backyard… true story. It’s getting crazy out there! Whatever offer you accept, just make sure the buyer is well qualified to deliver on their promises.
