They say there are only two things in life – death and taxes. Aside from the depressing allure of its grand stability in our lives, can we take a deeper look at something tax day might tell us? It’s the day of the year (or at least the preparation up to that day) that can give you good insight as to what kind of person you are. Are you organized? Are you the procrastinator? Maybe you’re the planner. Was it stressful? How are your systems? Are you trying to do it yourself to save money or is a professional doing them? You see? There’s great lessons to be learned from tax day, not just its guaranteed assurance that we’ll always have it. I’m willing to bet that however stressful or relaxed or planned or (insert adjective here) your tax day is, your business and personality reflect that to a deeper level. And if you’re sick of tax day (not just paying the taxes, but doing them) what can you improve to make that change and then what can you improve in your business, life, systems, to make things move better?
May your income be sheltered and your taxes deferred!

Speaking of trending – who’s jumping in ahead of the game for Denver? Millennials are embracing communal living and it appears to be a profitable enterprise. Could it work in Denver? Business opportunities abound when you’re willing to embrace change. Communal living appears to be just that, a change in the way renting and housing has been done in the last few decades – will it catch fire or flame out?
MORTGAGE RATE UPDATE
The latest Mortgage Rates: 30 Year fixed at 3.41% and 5/1 ARMS at 2.65%. Expect investor (non-owner occ) rates to run about ½ point higher on non-owner occ loans. (These are AOL/Zillow.com reported average rates as of Thursday)
